Joann Harrison, 81, of Greenville, passed away in her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in Greenville, Texas
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 19, at Family Fellowship Church in Greenville, Texas. Officiating will be Revs. Rick and Paul Blue.

Joann was born in Paris, Texas, on November 23, 1942, and was raised in Cooper. She attended East Texas State University and was a long-time resident of Greenville, where she married her husband of 44 years, Dean on June 1, 1979. She worked for GISD, sold real estate, was a secretary for Family Fellowship Church, and owned several small businesses through the years, including ''Mama Jo's Country Kitchen''.

She loved her church and serving others, and she loved her family, especially being ''Mimi'' to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but above all, she loved her Jesus and serving Him through the countless talents and gifts he provided her, including traveling several years with Volunteer Christian Builders.

Joann is survived by her husband, Dean, daughters Shaunda Knight, Deidre' Johnson, and Jen Kelley, and son Skip Harrison, three sisters, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Blevins, father, Homer Blevins, and step-mother Clara Nell Blevins, brother and sister, Ronnie Blevins and Barbara Middlebrooks, grandson, Matthew Virgel, and son-in-law Russell Kelley.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Family Fellowship Church's annual Christmas Offering to aid in restoring Lavon Baptist Encampment. Link to give is below.
