Jo Ann was born on September 4, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, and was raised by her grandmother, Millie Reagan. She married Jerry Turner on April 4, 1977, in Durant, Oklahoma.
She loved animals, dogs, and cats and she could nurse any wild baby animal back to health if she found one that was wounded or abandoned somehow. She loved the Texas Rangers and enjoyed bowling and watching golf. She could make anything from scratch and was an amazing cook and baker and loved to be in the kitchen. Jo Ann was a very hard worker and was from the country-she could grow anything, and could even build her own chicken pen, raise chickens and sell eggs. She worked at Krogers Grocery in Greenville for years until they closed and then she took a job at Git It Kwik at Patman plaza. She was generous, and very loving woman, and one the bravest and strongest women that we knew - she truly was the backbone of our family and will be missed so much.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry Turner; son, Emmitt Duane Green and wife, Judy; daughters, Debrah Lane, and Rebecca Baker and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Brilee Grace Baker, Jarrett Baker, Stephanie Stevens, Amanda Green, Robert Green, Sara Green, David Green, and Kim Patterson; and lifelong friend, Amelia Marsh.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Patterson in 2022, her parents, and granddaughter, Brandi Goodrich.
Pallbearers will be Jim Baker, Jarrett Baker, Greg Baker and Bob Goodrich.
