John Wayne Kenneday

John Wayne Kennedy, 79, of Garland, Texas, passed away on April 7, 2023, at the Senior Adult Life Center in Garland, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Stan Coleman officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

John was born April 13, 1943, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to William V. and Mary Lou Pounds Kennedy. He married Karen Skidmore on June 8, 1990, in Oklahoma. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He retired from auction sales where he auctioned automobiles. He was of the Christian faith.

John is survived by his wife, Karen Kennedy; sons, Jeffrey Kennedy, John Michael Kennedy; step-daughter, Theresa Kerr; brother, Joe Dan Kennedy and wife, Mandy; five grandchildren and one niece and nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
