Brad John Kellar, 62, of Greenville, passed away on July 10, 2023, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 17, 2023, at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Pastor Larone Jeffery and Pastor John Shoaff officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Brad was born on September 4, 1960, in St. Charles, Illinois, to Richard John Kellar and Eleanore Ruth Focht Kellar. Brad married the love of his life Provida Bailey on November 10, 1994, in Greenville, Texas. Brad attended ETSU and studied journalism. After his studies he became a dedicated and hard working journalist for the Greenville Herald Banner. Brad will be remembered by many for his journalism, he spent much of his time bringing the news to Hunt County. Brad loved spending time with his family and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. Brad was a member of Rose of Sharon church of God in Christ.

Brad is survived by his lovely wife Provida, sons Nickholas Bailey and Jason Jr. Reyes, daughter Jaylynn Kellar, grandchildren Victoria Bailey, Lauryn Bailey, Vanessa Bailey, brothers David Kellar, Gary Kellar, Richard Kellar and best friend Eric Best.

Brad is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Eleanor Kellar, sister Lauri Dalton and son Sebastian Kellar.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Epps, Brent Walton, Matthew Erwin, Cameron Epps, Jason Reyes and Greg Branch.

A fund has been set up to honor Brad at Chase Bank in Greenville and at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

    Brad was a Great Man, thoughtfull, humble and always willing to help, even at the last minute. Brad could also be quite humorous. Brad loved his family so much. He is one man we will all miss and we will never forget. My prayers are with his family and friends.
