William ''Bill'' Brown, a native of Brashear, Texas, was born on June 24, 1932, to parents John and Ruby Brown. He grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School in 1949. He served his country during the Korean War as a dedicated member of the army.

After his service, William pursued higher education and earned his degree from East Texas State University. He embarked on a successful 40 plus year career as a defense contract engineer at E Systems.

On September 30, 1965, William married Nancy Kaye Brown. Together they raised two daughters.

William was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family especially summer vacations.
A true family man, William's legacy will continue to live on through the love and memories that he created.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Brown; daughters, Leslie Brown Jenkins and husband, Mark, Dorsey Brown Martensen and husband, Blake; grandchildren, Kendall McAllister and husband Kyle, Morgan Jenkins, McClain Martensen, Marlowe Martensen, and Burke Martensen; and great-grandchild, Beckham McAllister.

A visitation is planned for Thursday at 10:00 am at Coker Mathews Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am a Memoryland Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Mark Jenkins, B.J. Watkins, Blake Martensen, Burke Martensen, Kyle McAllister, and Mike Gann.
