A generation of our family has ended with the passing of our mom, Brenda Eller Shomette. Mom was 79 years old when she died October 7, 2023. Mom was born to Jay Henry Eller and Nellie Bradshaw Eller, in Hiawassee, GA but lived most of her life in Texas. She was the youngest of four siblings. Mom loved her sisters Jean Korus and Doris Parrish so much it could be said they were peas in a pod.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family; Stacey Keeling (Paul) and Cliff Shomette. Her grandsons; Spencer Keeling (Sarah), Tanner Keeling, and Evan Shomette.

Mom lived life her own way. She was happiest surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, bees, and flowers. There are many quotes in the world referencing the love of dogs over people and if you asked her, she just might have agreed with them. Mom also had a love of motorcycles that she shared with people from around the world. She was a very smart and inquisitive person who educated herself daily by reading everything that interested her. Mom could cook the best pan of cornbread you ever had in your life and did so weekly for years.

Her wish was not to have a funeral and we will honor that wish.
