Charles Paul Castleberry

Charles Paul Castleberry, 75, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2023, at his residence. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 10, 2023, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home officiated by Mr. Eddie Airheart. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time.
Charles was born on April 25, 1948, in Cooper, Texas to Charles Paul Castleberry Sr. and Georgia Mae Cecil-Castleberry. Charles married Deborah Wright on August 9, 1968. They recently celebrated 55 years of love and devotion to one another. He retired from Atmos Energy after 50 years of dedication and service.
''Grandfathers give us not only wisdom and encouragement, but they are an inspiration to us.''
Charles loved his four grandsons Andrew, Haden, Holden, and Hudson. He was passionate about hunting and fishing and enjoyed taking them with him any chance he could. Some say that love is the greatest gift one generation can leave for the next and that is something Charles did wholeheartedly. The smiles and tears he shared through the years with his wife, children and grandchildren will forever leave a smile on their faces. The integrity he brought to everything he did was amazing. He is an incredible man who will be forever in our hearts. His legacy will live long after the funeral.
Charles is survived by his wife Deborah, son Aaron Castleberry, daughter Heather Wyatt and husband Danny, brother Mike Castleberry and spouse Dianna, sister Nancy Looney and husband Ronnie, and grandchildren Haden Wyatt, Holden Wyatt, Hudson Wyatt, and Andrew Medlin.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Jeanette Beeler.
