Donnie Laverne White Sikes, 94, of Greenville, Texas, passed away January 12, 2024, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Park Street Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Donnie was born January 21, 1929, in Campbell, Texas to Robert Lester and Mary Ellen Boydston White. She married ''Pete'' J. Harold Sikes on April 8, 1949 in Campbell, Texas. Besides being the caregiver for her home and family, she was the Nursery Coordinator at Park Street Baptist Church for 40 years. She was a faithful member of Park Street Baptist Church where she served as Director of the Mother's Day Out Program.
Donnie is survived by daughters, Beverly Attaway and husband, Paul of Houston, Deborah and Lisa Sikes of Greenville; brother, Gary L. White of Greenville; sister, Jean Green of Greenville; grandchildren, Clint Whitlock and wife, Allison of Frisco, Carly Sall and husband, Chris of Frisco, Angie Attaway-Rios and husband, Sergio of Houston, Robyn Sanchez and husband, Javier of Saudi Arabia; great-grandchildren, Elle, Summer, and Will Whitlock of Frisco, Calvin and Casey Sall of Frisco, Lauren Parades and husband, Hernan of Houston, Joaquin, Emilio, and Lucio Sanchez of Saudi Arabia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Neva Sikes Whitlock and husband, Bill; sisters, Bonita Willis, Valiree Weatherly, Eva Joyce White, Frances Dell White; and brother, Thurman L. White.
Pallbearers will be Clint Whitlock, Chris Sall, Casey Sall, Paul Attaway, Sergio Rios, Joe Gandy, Mike Green, George Flournoy and Jerry Anderson.
