Billy was born on January 25, 1946, in Greenville, Texas to Sam Pier Sr. and Marion Wagner Pier. Billy was a United States Navy Veteran and was a retired engineer from the Texas State Highway Department.
Billy is survived by Patricia Lay, step-son, Cody Glenn; daughter, Brooke Wright; grandchildren, Danny Glenn, Eve Glenn, Leia Glenn, Robert Kirk and Lily Wright.
Billy is preceded by his parents, one brother, wife Barbara Derryberry in 2013.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Wright, Brooke Wright, Cory McElwrath and Wade Lunsford.
