Judith Jones

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother Judith Gail, on Tuesday, May 29, 2024. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

She left us while sleeping peacefully in her home at Rock Creek Health and Rehab in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was 82.

She certainly earned her spot in heaven having endured the raising of ''The Baker Kids'' Jennifer, Valerie, Nathan. Despite all we put her through she still managed to love us unconditionally and instilled in us strong values that have served us well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

She was the cherished Grammie of Alexandria (Cody), Chase (Haley), Molly (Jeremiah), Marshall, Emily, Logan, Dalton, Madison. She was Great-Grammie of Benjamin, Charlie, Beau, Ryleigh, and Judson. She was the wonderful mother-in-law of Crystal and Gary. She was also the dear sister of Jean ''Pi'' King and the proud aunt of Kandy Massey.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Matthew Nay Baker, brother Donald Hugh King, father Paul King, and her precious mother Vernis Charlene King.

Gail was born on October 12, 1941 in Biardstown, Texas. She grew up in Oak Cliff and spent her summers in Paris with her treasured cousins. She lived a full life as the most amazing mother and homemaker. She worked as a secretary at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, as a purchaser at Piper-Weatherford Co. in Dallas, as a teller at Benchmark Bank in Quinlan, in the office at Save-Mart in Quinlan, and in the security office of E-Systems/L-3 in Greenville. She loved to sew and made beautiful quilts and felt stockings that she was so proud of.

All who loved her will never forget her tenacity, beauty, charm, grace, and the undying love she had for her children (especially Nathan).

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to cherish your mom. Hug her tightly, breathe in her scent and savor the moment. Time waits for no one ~ Love your mom fiercely.

A special thank you to the staff at Rock Creek Health and Rehab for providing our mother exceptional care and loving her like she was your own. We know at times she was a handful (she got that from her kids!!), and we are forever grateful.
