Nita Lowry Reisor, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 3, 2024, in Frisco, Texas. A celebration of life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Bro. James Seigler officiating. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM on Saturday and go until service time. A private burial will take place at Webb Hill Cemetery.
Nita was born on January 26, 1929, in the White Rock community to James DeFee Lowry, Sr., and Nettie Mae Byrd Lowry. Nita was a graduate from Wolfe City High School and was valedictorian of her class. On June 6, 1947, she married Rev. Billy J. Reisor in Greenville, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 2008. In her early years Nita worked at the flour mill in Greenville. Nita was a homemaker, preacher's wife and a faithful member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church. Nita was a graduate from a secretarial school and loved helping her husband around the church and preparing bulletins for church. Nita loved her family and loved to help others.
Nita is survived by son; Gary Reisor and wife Nancy, daughter; Erika Nguyen and husband Thanh, daughter-in-law; Patti Reisor, grandchildren; Chris Reisor and wife Sara, Amanda Nielsen and husband Eric, Katie McCoy and husband Jared, Hannah Groves and husband Bryce, Caden Reisor, Jonathan Nguyen, Joanna Nguyen, Joshua Nguyen, Judith Nguyen, Jackie Nguyen and Jennifer Nguyen, seven great-grandchildren, niece; Janea Woodruff and husband Bill, and several great nieces and nephews.
Nita is preceded in death by her husband in 2008, son Gregory Bill Reisor in 2022, brothers William F. Lowry and James DeFee Lowry, Jr., and great granddaughter Hollis Dove Groves.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Reisor, Eric Nielsen, Jared McCoy, Bryce Groves, Jonathan Nguyen, Joshua Nguyen, Ray Herndon, Nathan Herndon and Paul Sturdevant.
