Johnny was born on May 3, 1956, in Dallas, Texas to Walter Keith Burns and Dorothy Coleman Burns. Johnny was a 1974 graduate of Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. Johnny married the love of his life Joni Durrett on September 5, 1982, at the Ponderosa Ranch in Nevada. Johnny worked in sales for H&H and H&W, and he also worked for Cummins Diesel.
Johnny is survived by his wife; Joni Burns, sons; Jackie Burns, Jeramie Burns and wife Lacy, daughter; Jena Burns and husband Dionte Taylor, grandchildren; Kayden Burns, Caleb Burns, Jackson Taylor, Jayde Taylor and Kierstin Walden.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents.
